• Communications: support tickets, contact form submissions, email correspondence.

3. Professional verification data

To maintain a trusted clinical network, we process credential data for verification purposes. This may include medical license numbers, issuing authority, specialty board certifications, and hospital affiliation letters.

Verification data is used solely to confirm professional status and is not sold to third parties.

4. How we use your information

We use collected data to operate, secure, and improve DocTak.

• Provide and personalize the verified professional network and workspace.
• Process job applications and route them to posting organizations.
• Track CME participation and issue completion records where applicable.

5. Public vs. private data

Guest-facing pages display limited profile previews, published articles, and job listings. Fields exposed publicly are configurable in your profile settings.

Private workspace data — direct messages, draft articles, internal applications, support tickets, meeting recordings, and CME progress — is never displayed on public routes and requires authenticated access.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share data in the following circumstances:

• With hospitals and employers when you apply for jobs or join organization workspaces.
• With CME providers when you enroll in accredited programs.
• With service providers who assist hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing under contractual safeguards.

7. Data retention

We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

Published articles may remain accessible in de-identified or archived form unless you request removal and removal is permitted by our content policies.

We implement technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, session management, and operational monitoring.
